Age criteria for presenting in this examination is 21 years to 36 years as of January 1 of the examination year. This means that candidates who are less than 21 years of age and above 36 years on January 1, 2019, are not eligible to appear in the West Bengal Civil Services Examination 2019.At the age of 5 years the rebate is provided for SC and ST candidates. Backward class candidates are given three years' relaxation.
Candidates born between January 1, 1998 and January 1, 1999 can only apply for Group B.
